It began in 2006, inside Ernest Jones on Oxford Street, London — with a young university student and a wristwatch he had no business affording. He studied it the way others study painting, tracing the engravings with his eyes, marvelling at the finish, lost in the quiet complexity of something built to last a lifetime. He bought it anyway. Some things simply cannot be left behind.

That watch became more than an accessory. It became a lens. In the years that followed, a quiet obsession took root — a deepening appreciation for the craft of horology, for the marriage of engineering and artistry that exists within every fine timepiece.
